Preparation to audits in projects

The audit of the project, completed with a positive evaluation, is the ultimate form of the verification of project's results and its implementation. Positive result of the audit often depends on the proper preparation of the documentation, and in case of dispute - on the preparation of the adequate arguments based on a substantive basis.

In projects cofinanced under the 6th EU Framework Programme each beneficiary received additional funds for audits from the European Commision. The audit was performed by an authorized entity under an agreement signed with the beneficiary and the result of the audit had a form of a document, enclosed to the financial statement. Audits prepared on behalf of the European Commision were conducted incidentially.

On the contrary, in the 7th EU Framework Programme the funds previously allocated for the beneficiary have been transferred to audits prepared on behalf of the European Commision. The Commision itself has announced a substantial increase in the number of audits conducted on its behalf.
